The idea behind hello.santa
As a small business in Tulsa, Hello Salon saw firsthand the effects COVID-19 had on the city. As the world got more complicated so did the lives of many tulsans and Hello.Salon wanted to lend a helping hand to our community. Because community is so important to us we wanted to create a movement that would help local families who may be struggling to make ends meet during the hardest time of the year, Christmas. For so many families the holiday season can be stressful making it impossible to enjoy the spirit of Christmas and our goal is to give people that opportunity. We want to reach as many people as we can about our fundraiser so the possibilities for what we can do for our local communities are endless. In 2022, Hello.Salon raised money to help a local firefighter who was battling cancer, and we would love to reach more who may need a helping hand.
Meet Our 2023 Family
Ramsyn is the infant son of Morgan and Mason Morris, Ramsyn was born pre-maturely at 31 weeks and while in the nicu doctors discovered a heart murmur in his heart and after undergoing a heart echo procedure he was diagnosed with congenital heart disease. Ramsyn also has other symptoms of CHD such as, hypo plastic aortic arch, coarctation of the arch and VSD. Ramsyn will need several open heart surgeries over his lifetime and due to Tulsa not having pediatric heart surgeons they will have to be life flighted to OU Medical in Oklahoma City where his surgeries can be preformed.
The Morris family will have to make several trips to OKC throughout all these procedures every 1-2 weeks for checkups with his cardiologist until Ramsyn reaches 6 months old so he can receive his 2nd open heart surgery.
Our goal is to help lessen the burden of travel and medical expenses for the Morris family and hopefully restore some Christmas cheer during this very difficult time for them.
Donations
By October 1st we will begin to accept donations for the 2023 Hello.Santa season. We will have a few options for donations, above we have a link that directs you to the Hello.Santa Venmo account, there you can submit your donations. The Hello.Santa Venmo account is strictly for fundraising purposes and we want to ensure that all donors know their contributions are going directly to the family and no where else.
You also will have the option of adding your donation to your ticket at your next appointment, when making donations in salon we will have a Christmas tree and where we will display your name to represent your generous donation!
Nominations
Nominations can be made by the nominee themselves or by someone close to them.
The nomination form is a way we can get to know the nominee, their story, and how we can help them. We ask that you completely fill out the application to the best of your knowledge and submit it by September 30th.
